Math: algebra and calculus
An example course built from dynamic cards: each card is a small program that makes a fresh problem every time it comes back. You never see the same numbers twice, so you can't just remember the answer. You have to remember the method.
Type your answer and it's checked for you. Any correct way of writing it counts, so (x - 3)(x + 2) and (x + 2)(x - 3) are both right.
Want cards like these for your own subject? Open Dynamic in the top bar (on a computer), start from a template, and save it to a course.
What's inside
- Arithmetic
Typing math - Powers with ^: x^2, 2^(n+1) - Multiplication can be left out: 2x, 3(x+1) - Fractions with / and parentheses: (x+1)/(x-1) - Roots and functions: s…
- Algebra
Expanding multiplies every term in one set of parentheses by every term in the other: $$(x+a)(x+b) = x^2 + (a+b)x + ab$$ Factoring runs that backwards: find tw…
- Calculus and trig
The power rule does most of the work here: $$\frac{d}{dx}\,x^n = nx^{n-1} \qquad \int x^n\,dx = \frac{x^{n+1}}{n+1} + C$$ For the exact trig values, the two tr…
