SRS Badger

Terms of Use

Last updated 4 October 2026

By using SRS Badger, you agree to these terms. They're short, and we've tried to keep them in plain language.

The service

SRS Badger is a spaced repetition app: you practice with cards, and each one comes back right before you'd forget it. It's a small, independent service that's always being improved, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

Your account

You can use SRS Badger as a guest, but a guest's progress is tied to one browser. Create an account to keep it safe and use it on other devices.

Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your content

You own what you make. The courses and cards you create are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display them as needed to run SRS Badger, including showing them to the people you choose to share them with.

Sharing. When you share a course, the people who add it get their own copy. If you stop sharing it or delete it, their copies stay in their libraries as their own. Only share what you're comfortable with them keeping.

Only add what you have the right to use. Don't upload other people's copyrighted material, such as large parts of a textbook, unless you're allowed to.

Acceptable use

Don't use SRS Badger to:

  • break the law, or harass or harm anyone;
  • upload malicious code, or try to attack the app, its compile server, or other users;
  • overload or abuse the service, for example with automated sign-ups or by using the compile server for anything other than your cards;
  • get into accounts or data that aren't yours.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Coaches and classes

If you run a class, you're responsible for having permission to coach your students and see their progress. That includes a parent or guardian's permission for students under 13. Use what you see only to help your students learn.

Plans and payments

Some features may require a paid plan. The price and what's included are shown before you buy. Payments are handled by our payment processor.

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. If a plan ends, you keep everything you've made; you just lose the paid features.

We may change prices or what's included for free. A price change to a plan you already have applies from your next renewal, and we'll tell you before it does. Refunds are at our discretion, except where the law requires otherwise.

No guarantees

SRS Badger is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and correct, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that it will help you learn any particular thing. You can download your data at any time, and we recommend keeping a copy of anything important.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 Canadian dollars.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Ending your use

You can stop using SRS Badger at any time, and we'll delete your account whenever you email us to ask. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we're required to by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using SRS Badger after that, you're agreeing to the updated terms.
